Deploy an app
Install an app on a running VM and follow the deployment status.
Deploy
- Open the app from App Market.
- Under Deploy to a VM pick the Target VM. Only VMs that are running can be chosen. Others are listed as disabled with their current status.
- Choose Deploy for the app. The button changes to Deploy in progress.
If you have no running VM, the page links to your VM list and to Create a VM.
Follow the status
The deployment runs in the background. The Deploy history on this VM card refreshes every few seconds and shows each attempt with a status:

|---|---|
| Queued | Waiting to start. |
| Running | The installation is in progress. |
| Succeeded | Finished. The output shows what was done. |
| Failed | It stopped. The reason and the output are shown. |
You can leave the page and come back, since progress is kept in the history.
If a deployment fails
Deploying apps is a newer feature. A failure with a connection error is often temporary, so try again in a few minutes. If it keeps happening, open a support ticket and include the failure reason shown in the history.
