Invoices and auto-renew

Read your transaction history and receipts, and control automatic renewal for your account.

Transaction history

Billing & Wallet lists every movement in your wallet: top-ups, charges for VMs, and adjustments. Each row shows the date, a description, the amount (with a plus or minus sign) and your balance after the transaction. Amounts are in Rial.

Invoices and receipts

Below the history, Invoices / Receipts lists a numbered record for each payment or charge, with date, description, Rial amount and status. Downloadable PDF receipts are coming soon.

Auto-renew

The Auto-renew settings card has one switch, Automatically renew VMs. It applies to your whole account, not to individual VMs. Changes are saved as soon as you flip the switch.

Virtual machines renew monthly

A VM is prepaid for 30 days, taken from your wallet when you create it. The VM's page and the VM list show its next renewal date and status. On that date the next period is charged automatically while auto-renew is on (the price is the plan price plus any data disk). You can also pay early with Renew now in the last 7 days.

If the wallet cannot cover the renewal, the VM is stopped immediately (data kept, no grace period) and you are notified by email, and by SMS if you enabled it. You can't start it by hand while it is stopped for non-payment. A stopped VM still costs us money at the provider, so its daily cost (the plan price spread over 30 days, plus any data disk) keeps being charged to your wallet, which is allowed to go negative. Each daily charge shows in your history. When your wallet balance, converted to Rial at the current rate, reaches -3,000,000 Rial, the VM is deleted and you are notified; you also get a warning when you are close to that limit. This limit is a policy threshold in Rial, not a price. The VM page and the Billing page show your balance (in red when negative), the limit and how much is left before deletion.

To restore it, top up your wallet so the balance covers the debt plus one renewal, then it is renewed and started again automatically (or choose Renew now). Each charge appears in your history with the VM's name.

Data disks and snapshots

A data disk is charged per GB for each 30-day period together with the VM, and renews with it. A snapshot is charged per GB by its real size once it is complete, and renews every 30 days. Both prices are shown before you confirm. An unpaid snapshot cannot be restored or copied, and is deleted after a grace period. See Snapshots.

Floating IPs

Floating IPs follow the same prepaid rule as everything else: one period is charged to the wallet when you reserve the IP, and again on its renewal date while auto-renew is on. Each charge appears in your transaction history and invoices with the IP address, for example Floating IP renewal 203.0.113.7. A reservation that fails at the provider shows a matching refund. If a renewal cannot be paid, the IP is detached and kept for a short grace period before it is released. See IP addresses and floating IPs.

Keeping your balance healthy

Your VMs are paid from the wallet, so keep enough balance for upcoming renewals. You can top up at any time; see Wallet top-up.
